Monica Galvez-Rios
MULTIDISCIPLINARY
Miss Monica began her dance training here at On Pointe Dance Studios (Norco) back in 2013! She trained in ballet & pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, acro and hip hop. She spent 4 years on the performance team dancing at Ontario Reign hockey games, the Harlem Globetrotters halftime show and dozens of community events. Monica attended Norco High School where she was on the Norco Dance Team and was a Spirit Leader her senior year while also being involved in her school's show choir as a featured singer/dancer.
After graduating, Monica went on to pursue dance as a member of Elite International Dance Company where she was in a promo shoot for Faithlyn Harmony's debut album "19". She was invited on a full scholarship to the California State Summer School for the Arts located at the California Institute of the Arts. During these 4 weeks she delved into theater learning physical comedy, voice, movement, stage combat, improv, audition and professional development, and much more. Monica fell in love with acting along with her love for dancing and singing and plans to continue pursuing her passions!
Recent credits include: featured dancer in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying (RCC Theatre), ensemble in Grease (RCC Theatre), Villain in Sad & Glad (RCC Playfest), Jamie in Slow Jam (RCC Playfest), and Ballet Ensemble: Through the Ages (RCC Dance).
Monica is thrilled to share her passion for dance and work with the amazing students and staff.
