Lyndsey Gilbert

Lyndsey Gilbert grew up in Menifee, CA. She started her dance training at a young age and now has over 30 years of dance experience. As a competitive dancer she traveled and performed at a national level in Southern California and Las Vegas, NV. As part of “The Menifee Dance Troupe” at MSJC, Lyndsey performed and Participated in Question & Answer Talks at local elementary schools, bringing age appropriate educational theater performance to her community. Lyndsey is particularly experienced with jazz, ballet, musical theater, and tap dance instruction. Lyndsey began her professional performance career in 2006 when she joined Barry Manilow’s Production Company, Stiletto Entertainment. She performed on Holland America Line in a variety of production shows as an ensemble and featured dancer. She has worked with Emmy Award nominated choreographers such as: John Charon, Jill Hillier, and choreographer to Beyonce, Melanie Lewis. She has performed and acted on stage at Knott’s Berry Farm, and worked alongside Leo Ward Illusionist as a maintenance choreographer in “Deceived." Lyndsey has had the fortune in her career to work internationally as a contemporary and musical theater choreographer in The Netherlands, Montreal as well as in private schools and dance studios in her native Southern California. She has instructed classes beginning with advanced levels in jazz, lyrical, tap, and contemporary ages 2 years to adult, as well as Directing Musical Theater Camps and Classes. Her performance portfolio ranges from the stage to commercial work. Lyndsey believes that anyone can grow from a dance class. It teaches you discipline, hard work, sportsmanship, how to express, how to exercise, trains your brain and body cognition; and most importantly to the value of bringing in yourself and your own unique talents.
